Home Energy Technologies provides consulting and certification services to homebuilders and remodelers in Connecticut and adjoining states from our office in central Connecticut. We are a RESNET-accredited Home Energy Rating System Provider and offer qualification for programs including ENERGY STAR for Homes, the NAHB's National Green Building Standard and the Building America Builders Challenge.

Home Energy Technologies acquired the home energy rating buisiness of Competitive Resources Inc in April 2009. CRI was the leading home energy rater in Connecticut with over 5,800 homes qualified under the ENERGY STAR for Homes program. Since the acquisition we have serviced all of CRI's existing clients and been pleased to welcome many new clients.

We are members of RESNET, the Northeast HERS Alliance (NEHERS), the Homebuilders Association of Hartford County and the National Association of Homebuilders.

Peter Harding, our founder and President, has over 30 years experience in management consulting, residential construction and home energy rating. He is certified by RESNET as a Quality Assurance Designee for RESNET Standards and as a Certified Green Rater. He is the current President of the Northeast HERS Alliance and also holds the Certified Green Professional designation from the National Association of Homebuilders.
